Frigidaire stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not sure why the stove is listed as a rear control when the control knobs are on the front of the stove. Our old stoves computer panel gave up the ghost. We were looking for another double oven, but decided to go with all the amenities this stove offers. Haven't used the warming section yet, but all the other heating elements work beautifully so far. The stove top seems much harder to clean for some reason.

Works well, cooktop very hard to clean

Bought this just over two years ago with a full set of matching appliances, it has worked well with only an occasional "element on" light remaining on even though all burners are off. Temperature in the oven has been consistent as well. The most aggravating issue with this one is the design of the cooktop - that black glass is extremely difficult to clean when anything spills on it and gets baked on to the surface, even when using the recommended cooktop cleaner, it is a chore.

Oven broke down after 16 months!

Two repairmen told me it was not worth repairing because the Main Board and 2 other parts were broken . The oven and clock stopped working, but the burners are still OK. The warranty is only for one year. Lowe's has suggested I call Frigidaire for an exceptional replacement. If I get one, I might improve my rating here.

A lot of good features

This was a big upgrade from a 30 year-old stove with coil burners. I like all the oven functions. They keep me from burning my food. Especially when the only option was a broil function on the old stove.

Fire hazard

The stove top controls are now on the front of this newer model, waist height, and if anyone wipes down the stovetop, puts something in the microwave above, if you are standing lightly touching the front of the stove while cooking on one burner, or if you set grocery bags on the oven top, or set pizza delivery boxes on the stovetop….BEWARE!!
