Would RecommendIt visually removes stains as soon as you spray but some will come back when it dries out. It makes it difficult to know whether it removed them or hiding them. It does not work on its own to my experience and needs to be accompanied by Bissell carpet cleaner for best results. You may skip this and go straight to Bissell. I never tried it myself but it might be designed for fresh stains.
