What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this solid oak flooring transition piece for its perfect fit and seamless ability to bridge height differences between adjacent flooring types. Reviewers consistently highlight how effectively it eliminates tripping hazards and creates a polished, professional appearance in high-traffic areas like doorways and thresholds. Many appreciate the material's density and durability compared to alternatives, noting it feels substantial and matches existing hardwood floors beautifully. Customers frequently mention easy installation with basic tools and excellent stain absorption that blends seamlessly with complex floor stains. A few report minor splintering during cutting or note the piece was slightly thinner than expected, though these concerns represent a small fraction of feedback.

Great value and timesaver
Would RecommendAbsolutely love these! They make the floor look great and literally take 3 minutes to install. I put mine down with Liquid Nails and they will stay forever. Takes stain very well.

too narrow
Would Not RecommendThe piece is not 2.75 inches wide. It's just over 2" wide. This is the third time i've ordered products which were not what was on the spec. Not sure what to do, i need to finish the project.

Measure carefully!
Would RecommendUnfortunately, this reducer wasn't high enough to overcome the height differential in my floors, so I used another product from this manufacturer that did the job, but didn't have the gentle ramps. I think the packaging and description online could be better, and they might want to offer this product with different heights, perhaps in 1/4" or 1/8" increments.
