What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this oak reducer for creating seamless transitions between different flooring heights, particularly between hardwood, tile, carpet, and LVP. Reviewers consistently highlight the solid oak construction, noting it feels substantial and looks like real wood compared to cheaper alternatives. Many appreciate how easily it accepts stain and installs with minimal preparation using liquid nails or ring nails. The 3/8" height specification works well for standard flooring mismatches. A few customers mention it can splinter when cut or note minor color variations, and some find it pricey, but most consider the quality well worth the investment.

Great value and timesaver
Would RecommendAbsolutely love these! They make the floor look great and literally take 3 minutes to install. I put mine down with Liquid Nails and they will stay forever. Takes stain very well.

too narrow
Would Not RecommendThe piece is not 2.75 inches wide. It's just over 2" wide. This is the third time i've ordered products which were not what was on the spec. Not sure what to do, i need to finish the project.

Measure carefully!
Would RecommendUnfortunately, this reducer wasn't high enough to overcome the height differential in my floors, so I used another product from this manufacturer that did the job, but didn't have the gentle ramps. I think the packaging and description online could be better, and they might want to offer this product with different heights, perhaps in 1/4" or 1/8" increments.
