Wish I had bought this one sooner.
Would RecommendI have been using the 1/2” 2-speed hammer drill (FX1271T) for years and was very happy with it as a combo drill/driver tool. Switching drivers/drills frequently with the chuck was a downside and I finally decided to add the 1/4” quick eject hex impact driver to my Flex tool set. Wow! This thing rocks. It has awesome power, 3” screws just fly into the wood. The quick eject is very handy. The multi-mode kit comes with two batteries. Since I have a bunch of Flex power tools I first looked at just...

stick with name brand.
Would Not Recommendhave the original FX1371A for a several years but only used it a hand full of times around the house and one day it just would stop working unless I took the battery out for 10 minutes or so then it would work again for a while. never did the registration thing but still expected it to last for how little I used it. drill is great, impact only when it works.

Great tool need to come with flex brand adapter
Would RecommendGreat impact, my only issue is that it doesn’t come with a flex impact adapter for sockets. I had to buy a set of flex impact sockets in order to get the adapter as I had already broken several other adapters from other brands due to the power this thing puts out. I think it’s crazy you can buy a impact with two batteries and not be provided the adapter but over all a great tool.
