Blade sharp

Awesome Hatchet

I bought this hatchet 3 years ago and use it to split wood. I've beaten the crud out of it with an 8lb sledge and it hasn't deformed or chipped whatsoever. I probably use it for much more than it was designed for and it has held up well. I keep it sharp and it holds an edge for a long time. Very impressed with this thing.

Functional/nice weight/sharp durable edge with cvr

Now own two. Has a nice weight, sharp, holds an edge well, great handle that fits the palm comfortably. Handle has a curl at the bottom end to prevent the hatchet from slipping from the hand on the down-stroke while ensuring a good grip. Great safety feature that it comes with a head/blade storage cover for when not in use.

Somewhat disappointed

I bought this hatchet based upon my experience with a Fiskars splitting axe that I purchased about 10 years ago. That axe has split a LOT of firewood and the blade has only needed to touched up with a few times. But this hatchet appears to use an entirely different steel. So far, I've only used it a couple of times in addition to a saw to limb trees before bucking and splitting. I was really disappointed to see the edge badly worn and chipped after working only on soft pine. Still a better mad...

Super sharp

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a lightweight hatchet that gets the job done. It feels great in the hand and is super sharp. It made quick work of a couple of limbs that were hanging down from our tree. It did come with a plastic sheath, but I purchased a different one for it as pictured. Can't wait to try this out on some hiking trails if we need to as it fits perfectly in our hiking packs.

Very nice hatchet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is good for casual use. I’ve been using it for de-branching wood for my fire pit, almost shaving the sticks. The weight is good, with a good balance and the handle fits well in my hands. Cuts fast with little shock or vibration. Definitely a good tool to add to your collection.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband loves it! It cuts wood with very little effort. The grip is perfect and so is the weight of it. We cut a lot of mesquite and it’s a quite hard wood and it just was amazing how well it cut.
