Don't buy from Lowe's!

I purchased during Ice Storm Fern. You couldn't find a generator anywhere, so I drove 5 hours one way in the ice to buy this generator, so round drive approximately 11 hours. It worked fine the first day, second day it would not stay running. I called Firman and tried to troubleshoot and could not get it to run. On the third day, I decided to return it. I didn't want a brand new $1000 generator paperweight to sit in my shop. Lowe's wouldn't let us exchange it because it had been over 48 hours. T...

Excellent backup!

This generator can handle my fridge, freezer, tv, heater, and more! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs reliable power!

was doing curbside pickup for a generator. The box they brought out was beat up and I asked for one that wasn't beat up. this thing was heavy weighed 235 lb and the two gentlemen letting me up were very good sports about it. they went in and got me another box and a timely manner and apologized for the inconvenience and shook my hand. I feel like Lowe's should be paying their employees a decent salary because they're taking care of them

American Made / American Turn Down

Bought it left in the box for about 3 wks Unboxed the Generator and saw the issue Lowes policy I could not return it for a replacement Contacted Firman filed a claim understand still new After waiting a couple of days I was informed it was normal no replacement sorry if it breaks file another claim

I made the mistake of trying this thing out within the 48 window. The thing was dead on arrival. When I tried to start it blew blue smoke, and then errored out. I called warranty support and they said they would replace it. Come to find out they didn't tell me I need to lug a 300lbs brick an hour away to an "authorized service center." The thing has zero hours and is a worthless brick.

Great generator in the recent snow storm

I had to bite the $1000 dollar bullet during this recent snow storm here in MD. I'm glad i did. This generator works great. It will basically run my whole home. Not my central heat but i can do with a small electric heater. It was kind of hard to start on propane initially until I figured out you got to choke it on lp gas also. Ran fine. Also if its really cold out the lp propane tanks can freeze up... Not an issue.

Better prepared for whatever is thrown my way

I bought this unit to replace a smaller genny I've limped on for years. This unit will be able to power most everything that my family needs in the event of a power outage. Be advised that there is a little bit of assembly work to do before its fully functional. I really appreciate the electric start over pulling a rope.
