I'm not giving this a review but reading the people's reviews it just sounds like they are pulling it straight out of the box plugging stuff into it and running it then having issues with it not working right. It says it needs a 5-hour break in WITH an oil change. WONDERING IF THE PEOPLE GIVING THE BAD REVIEWS DID NOT DO THIS?
Easy for novice
Would RecommendFirst time user and owner. Hurricane Isaias left us without power for almost a week. We purchased this one on recommendation from a friend. Not particularly mechanically inclined, my wife and I had this assembled and running on a barbecue tank in about 2 1/2 hours. Fridge, TV and Netflix! What more could you ask for!
Generator

Outstanding
Would RecommendWe bought this generator ahead of Hurricane Isaias. I couldn’t be happier with it. We ran it straight for 3 days stopping to put gas in it when it ran out. It never faltered!
Great features easy set up.
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this generator just prior to an incoming hurricane in Alabama. It was packaged perfectly with no damage. Set up was quick and easy. I tested it with a small load to make sure everything was OK. It was fairly loud, but that is not a problem for the location I’m using. The hurricane went east of us and all we got was a few wind gusts and power went out for about 20 minutes. I was just ready to start it up when the power came back on. ...

Simply......AMAZING!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely the best decision I've ever made when selecting a generator! This generator is incredible running our whole house. (not attempting HVAC 😂) Two refrigerators, freezer, microwave, ceiling fans, lights and still plenty of power left, not even close to the 8000 running watts! Amazing! Simply amazing! Thank you Firman!

Horrible generator, worse service
Would Not RecommendI had this generator for about two months and it started to get a knock in the lower part of the engine. Did all oil changes per the manual. Contacted customer support and they gave me a bunch of excuses. Ended up getting them to approve service under warranty. Took it in and the service guy discovered what appeared to be the lower connecting rod bearing which had broken apart. This took about 4 weeks. Firman finally approved a replacement generator which was supposed to ship out 2 weeks...
