Ratings & Reviews for Firman Electric Start 9400 Starting / 7500 Running Watt Gasoline, Liquid propane Dual fuel Portable Generator

Never again

I will never shop or by anything. From lowes ever again got this Generator on 4/8/26 I even bought the extended warranty.Have done everything. The manufacturer has told me to the point where they told me to call lowes and Explain to them about the piece of equipment and that all I'm asking is for an exchange and Lowes only gives u 48 hours to return or exchange something And that isn't even enough time , really for something to start happening to it like what is going on with it , and when I talk ...

Works perfectly

Getting a tent for it, they should really have one suggested on the box... *hint-hint* to Firman marketing... So expect ~$215 for that necessary add on, other than that, love it, solid purchase, jump on any sale.

Good generator package.

Bought this generator after a storm took out the power. Worked great keeping our refrigerator and freezer going during the power outage. Great package with cord, cover and propane hose for flexible fuel options. Only issue so far is the plastic oil dipstick is difficult screw back in.

Worked great when i needed it the most!

Firman generator, great purchase

Great generator, very easy to use, the large tank gives us hours of run time!

Great unit

I own two of these and have had only one issue. start switch went out but was replaced for free. I would recommend this brand to anyone.

Came with everything you need

Good product

satisfied

bought this unit and had it connected to my service panel. the Dual fill option is extremely convenient. I purchase a hundred pound propane tank as well. already had to use on two different occasions one power went out and this product worked well.

TERRIBLE GENERATOR

Great buy

Easy to start with the battery and long run time on gas fill up

Extra bonus, it has a secondary start option

Built to be strong and dependable.

Firman Generator Saved The Day

This generator worked great during the recent ice storm in Mississippi. Being without power for 8 days was a challenge, but our lives were made easier with Firman providing backup power. Thank you.

That Lowe's would not exchange after 72 hours.

It is still in the box. Customer service reviews are horrendous!!

Great generator so far.

Great generator so far. Got it before one of the major winter storms and did a great job. Overall, on the current load I was utilizing it last about 11 to 12 hours for the 8-gallon tank. Not entirely sure how much wattage I was actually using, but I'd say around 5 to 6,000.

Chinese built, but not terrible

Good frame, starter works great and the fuel consumption exceeded what the box said.
