Ratings & Reviews for Firman Electric Start 9400 Starting / 7500 Running Watt Gasoline, Liquid propane Dual fuel Portable Generator

Good emergency power unit

I bought this unit due to a long power outage. Very easy start, I could power 2 large chest freezers 2 refrigerators, 2 entire floors of my house. Fuel was easily loaded, it stayed exactly where I set it up did not move an inch. I was very pleased with this unit.

We lost power due to a tornado and were so happy to find this great generator at our local Lowe's store. It was an easy in and out purchase.

Electric start

No stress anymore during storm season!

No stress anymore during storm season! It's an investment for peace of mind when there's many other things to prepare for.

Great quality and great features

This is a very solid generator. Gas or Propane option is convenient. Also, love the electric start which makes it super easy for my wife if I am not home.

Great stuff

Lots of power, very simple to use and comes with some great accessories!

The neighbors would lose their minds

We had no idea this generator would be so loud that it would drive our family (not to mention the neighbors) to their wits' end during a power outage. It was clear this generator would be aChris disaster. Even though we JUST hooked it up and tried it once, we can't return or exchange it at Lowe's because it's past the 48-hour window. Not a product we'd recommend unless you have earplugs that work really well. Disappointed.

it's been good

I bought this last yr it been good for what I've needed only thing us the factory battery is junk didn't even make it a yr and it was bad emailed fireman about it and got crickets this is my opinion but I feel like the first oil change should be done sooner then what they recommend

Dissatisfied

This product used a lot of oil every day. There was not a puddle or even a drip of oil under the unit. It is very loud. The battery is working but has corrosion under it. The generator was run for 12 days. It also did not connect to the 30 Amp cord for my camper. I am very dissatisfied with this product and would not purchase another one.

The engine blew

We used this generator for two storms. The first one was for three days it was fine. We are on the fifth day of power outage and the engine blew to pieces. Call Lowe’s they couldn’t help told us to call the manufacturer . Called the manufacturer we had to send them pictures. He said that the engine should’ve never done that that we have to go through a process of taking it to a shop so they can replace the engine and that’s going to take About 10 days. We bought this generator thinking that it c...

Great Product

5 stars

Don’t listen to the people who say this machine doesn’t work chances are they didn’t read the manual this machine has a low oil cutoff and doesn’t come with oil in the machine you have to add it ran my whole house without issue or bogging!

Great Product, easy start.

Simple to put together and get running. Directions were straight forward and easy. 10 minutes after unboxing I was using it with Propane. Very smooth running.
