generic version option for frig water filter

This is the generic equivalent of the water filter for our LG frig. It was less expensive, but this device really restricted the water stream . Good idea to save money, but didn't work for the LG.

The new filter restricts water flow to a trickle compared to old filter. Thumbs down on this filter.

Great and Less Expensive

Bought one of these for my LG refrigerator. it was easy to install. There were no issues or leaks. Flushed a few gallons of water through it and the water tastes great.

Didn’t fit right

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought this was the right fit for my fridge but was not. Probably my error so cant give a review good or bad. It came and doesn’t seem extra or better than any other but who knows? Like I said can’t really give a review since I messed up thinking this was the correct fit for my fridge.

It’s OK... but doesn’t filter like the LG

This filter is OK for the price... I gave it a go just for that. It fit, and water came out of the fridge - Ultimately, is better than nothing, but you get what you pay for. I noticed that it had a little leakage around the seal. Also, even after flushing it per the directions, I still had a “mineral” taste in my water which I did not have with the original LG filter. (Well water). Water also flowed slower as well. I exchanged for the original LG filter and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! Water was cleare...

Tasty Water

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the value filter L8 and so glad I did, seems to be a better value as it gives a better tasting water and ice than some of the other filters. It is also very easy to.replace the filter. Who doesn't love great tasting water?

Works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Value filter L8 worked great for us. Has lasted a lot longer than other filters and hasnt leaked. We've had alot of issues with others leaking. But this one has been perfect. Exceeds expectations especially since we've tried so many! Simple installation as well.

costs a lot less

It was easy to change out the filter and install the new one! My family loves the clean refreshing taste of the water. If they are happy, then I'm happy! I highly recommend the value filter L8 to anyone with this type of refrigerator.

Good product

Water Tastes Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first time I have ever tried the L8 filter. The installation was easy, and within minutes my new filter was in place. I love the clean refreshing taste of the water, and my ice cubes are crystal clear and tastes so much cleaner.

Does the job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Filter works as described. Everything seemed to fit and work properly. Didn't have any problems switching it out. If there aren't issues I would consider purchasing another one. Pretty self explanatory!

Easy to Install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These filters are pretty generic, so it’s hard to find much to say about them. This one however was very easy to install so that is definitely a bonus. No issues with ours so far, just clean water for our family!
