Bought it, used it, it worked

This is my first heavy type hammer. It was well balanced and allowed me to hammer stakes into the ground to lay out my shed. I don't use these a ton, so I don't have a great frame of reference.

Great for small spaces

Given its small size it works great in small spaces. I’m demoing a shower in a small bathroom and it works great for busting up tile. This bathroom was lined with cement and I was still able to break through with relative ease. Sometimes it took a few shots but given its small size and light weight it was reasonable compared to a conventional sledgehammer.

Smooth

Its a good hammer. I like the weight.. makes it smoother to swing, decent impact. They have a nice handle too.

Balanced beast!

This Estwing handheld sledge did what I needed it to do, pronto! Great balance and indestructible. Well worth the cost! Now if I can keep it from strolling away from my bench.

Nice tool

Worked very well for busting through drywall in the kitchen.

Sturdy

The handle has, so far, taken a good bit of abuse and has been fine. All of the other Estwing products that I have ever had have been very sturdy with an exceptional steel. I hope that this will be the same!

Great Shop Hammer

Grandpa's hammer finally broke, so it was time to buy a new one. I trust Lowe's tools so I selected this model. It was the size I needed and you could feel the quality. I brought it home and worked with it on my project and I was very impressed. The rubber grip on the handle made it easy to handle I felt like there was less vibration when using it to drive a 6ft piece of rebar into the ground. I have a feeling that this one will probably out-last grandpa's hammer.
