nice weedeater but...
Would RecommendThe Line IQ feature really needs some work. I can go several minutes before it'll begin to give more line and those minutes are precious on battery. It slows you down waiting for the line to feed. Considering exchanging it for a bump feed model.
Auto feed is excellent
The trimmer is as powerful as I need for the Bahia that has begun infiltrating our yard and the auto feed feature has worked well. I was having to stop and manually pull the line out regularly with the previous generation Ego trimmer I have.

Beefy and tough
Love this trimmer, and the only downside is the added weight from the large battery. I'm getting used to it but am fatigued a bit sooner than with my previous one with a small battery. I do recommend though!

Game Changer
I had an older gas weed eater for years and was always a pain to reload & would go through loads of string. My new ego power load weed trimmer is a game changer! Load your string in seconds perfectly and the unit is very powerful & the string lasts a long time. I’m finding it much lighter to use and also the battery charges quickly as well as lasting a long time. Highly recommend this !!

Would RecommendI bought this so I could avoid having smelly, noisy gas appliances and their accompanying maintenance requirements. Build quality is good, performance is on par with my last gas powered weed eater. If you have a lot of property to maintain battery life could end up being a real limitation (you'd need multiple batteries), but it's basically perfectly sized for the regular maintenance around my property. Would RecommendJiust bought this trimmer and it works just as advertised! It’s great how the line feeds automatically. Such a great improvement to bump feeding. Haven’t had to try the loading yet, though feel confident that it will be another great feature.
