Works well, battery has already malfunction though

The trimmer functions well. it is a bit heavy, but plenty of power. I have had for a little over a month, and the battery has already malfunctioned. They are however sending me a new one.

Line feeding

My first EGO trimmer would not load line at all. Power Load button would not activate at all. EGO replaced the trimmer. The second one would activate but not pick up/wind line. EGO provided a replacement trimmer head. We’ll see how that works out. On-line forums indicate lots of Power Load issues. So far zi’ve spent more time trying to get it to work than trimming.

So glad I got this

Everything about this string trimmer equates to less work for me. The fast recharge time, the long run time that allows me to finish is a great plus especially at my age. The line spool problem has been eliminated and the auto feed really allows more time to finish the job. The light weight, comfortable handle and tool balance make this the best investment towards a great yard. Finally less noise, no gas fumes, all in all I am really satisfied.

Ego weed trimmer

Have this ego weed trimmer for little over 3 months it’s supposed to load string does not work I’ve have done it just as instructions say the ego company will not call me back Lowe’s will not take it back because it’s been over 90 days it came loaded with string and it ran out so had to reload more string and the power load button doesn’t work so I didn’t know power load button was not working till I needed more string if it had run out of string within 90 days could taken it back so beware if y...

Tool has been great until Powerload stopped workin

Tool has been great, has cut well and lasted well with the battery. Less than 3 years after purchasing, the powerload button has stopped retracting the string and, on this model, loading up the string manually is a pain. In reading about this issue, this may be a semi common issue with the switch or a power issue that they have experienced in this model. It is under warranty and I'm waiting on a repair/replacement. Hopefully it lasts longer than the original.

IQ Does not feed line

ego IQ technology line feed is horrible and does not work, Mine does not feed and you waste your time taking it apart all the time and they provided no manual backup way to feed more line out. How stupid is that?

Great features

I bought it a bit over a month ago and it’s working great for me. So far the line feeding works great. Cuts very well.

Powerful and Efficient

I bought this model to replace my older, smaller and less powerful Ego trimmer. This model was so powerful it made my job of trimming our 2 acre property so much easier. The power actually surprised me and I got too close and removed plants accidentally! There is a learning curve to this new tool.
