Ratings & Reviews for EGO POWER+ 56-volt 15-in Split Shaft Battery String Trimmer 2.5 Ah (Battery Included) (Charger Included)

Good product ...but..

Good product do far but battery life isn't that good

String not advancing

So far I've been disappointed with the trimmer due to the string not advancing. I am not sure whether it's an issue with me or the design or something else. Tapping the head on a firm surface seems to do nothing. I've had to remove the string and reload it a couple of times to at least get some string out so I can do some trimming. If I am able to figure this out or hear back from Ego on how to resolve this issue, I will revisit this review

Struggles to feed the line and find the right cut

Well I don't have the same issues I had with my other trimmer as far as the line getting sucked back into the head, the tap feature to rapidly release the line doesn't work well, and because the head on the bottom is so large, you have to really find the right angle in order to get it to actually trim the edge of the lawn.

Very satisfied

Very happy with my new Ego weed trimer. Great power for a battery powered device. I'll be back.

Light weight

It is light weight and balanced with the 2.5 ah battery or when using my 4ah battery for bigger jobs. I really like the Rapid Reload feature, it works flawlessly.

Highly recommend

Easy to use and handle. So much better than gas.

String trouble

This has plenty of power in a light package. The only trouble I've noticed is the bump advance for the string doesn't work great. If the string gets too short (3 inches), it won't advance by bumping. You need to manually unwind the string.

Great trimmer.

Battery power plenty strong for trimming. Last long enough to do whole yard.

Love My EGO

I now have a EGO trimmer and blower love them both. The trimmer is light weight even with the battery. Lighter than the gas Echo I had before not to mention quieter. The blower is STRONG. I bought it to move leaves out of rocks under my oak trees and now use it for everything as it's quicker than the other blower I have. Next is the mower but my gas one works so well I can't pull the trigger on it yet BUT when I do it'll be an EGO!

You won't regret this purchase!

My original electric trimmer lasted 12 years and had a cord -- not sure if cordless existed back then. I needed to make a quick decision and the consensus amongst my neighbors was to purchase an Ego. I test drove my neighbors Ego trimmer and found it easy to operate, light weight, easy to maneuver in tights spaces and they made reloading the cord a breeze. The battery provides ample power and the charge last for several cuts. That experience sealed the deal and I bought my trimmer. No regret...

Somewhat disappointed.

I’m happy with the power however, I cannot get the string to advance by tapping on a hard surface. Disappointed in that feature.
