Would RecommendIt is very sturdy. I was a bit apprehensive about the carbon fiber shaft, but it has little to no detectable movement. It really does the trick for breaking up soil and getting between the rows. A lot easier than a tiller for smaller jobs. The unit is heavy with the battery and drive head, but using the strap eliminates arm fatigue.

Great for Quick and Light Duty Soil Work
Would RecommendWe already own a heavy-duty gas powered tiller, but it can be a pain to use for small, quick, or light jobs. The Ego cultivator works great for these applications. I wouldn’t want to till a large, new bed with the cultivator, but it’s perfect for things like tilling compost into the top layer of soil. We already had the Ego edger multi-head accessory, so this was a no-brainer. The cultivator is definitely heavy, but that helps it do its work. We would buy again if we needed to.

Perfect for unique use-case
I bought this to mix the playground wood chip I have for my kids playground area. Does the job perfectly. Seems a strong cultivator, I'm sure can chew through top soil with little trouble.
