I cut up 50' of a redwood tree trunk that was larger than a phone pole. This saw went through it like butter. After 3 hours of cutting, I still had over half the battery left. Considering the size and weight of this saw compared to my old 16" gas unit, I was surprised at how easy it was to handle. I actually found it easier to use than the old saw: No noise when the blade stops, no pulling a cord to start an engine, no exhaust fumes.

Very satisfied
Bought this for home use as my gas saw kept needing service (I don't use them alot and I do drain the tank). I did get a second battery and I found doing a lot of continuous cutting vs doing a few cuts then stacking the wood does drain the batterys faster. Overall I love it and it has worked great!

Almost the best chainsaw I ever had.
It was working great until the drive sprocket fell out during operation. It was hopelessly lost in some dense brush on only the fourth day of use and after first chain replacement.

Would RecommendI have 3 gas chain saws, but seeing the advantages of my other Ego products, trimmer, edger,blower and mower I wanted to see if that part of my yard maintenance could benefit as well. It exceeded my expectations. Easy to use, powerful, less noise and no gas mixed with oil anymore. I can now put all my power yard tools in the back of my SUV and no gas smell.

Excellent engineering
Would RecommendThis saw handles very nicely and is very comparable in performance to the best gas saws I was used to. I don't miss at all the idling, exhaust, noise, grease, and fuel mixing aspects of the gas systems, and the expensive battery is worth it so far.

I like most everything about this saw. What has come in very handy is the fact I can rise at 6am and cut up fallen trees without waking my neighbors. No mixing fuel is another plus along with no starting problems. I know there won't be any rotted gas lines at the end of the year. It is heavy and a little light on power.
