Ratings & Reviews for EGO POWER+ 56-volt 16-in Battery 5 Ah Chainsaw Battery Included Charger Included

Stopped dead after 2 years of light service

I would have given 5 stars, except after using it and really liking it for a couple seasons it just stopped dead on me in the middle of a cut. It is currently in the shop for warranty service. Hopefully it will be repaired or replace under warranty. I’ve been told it will take about a month for EGO to respond. Meanwhile … I’m without a chainsaw during the time of year I need it most.

Replacement chain saw works

It’s a replacement for the same model I’ve been using for six years. The old one burned out it’s motor. The new one cuts well.

16" Chainsaw

The saw itself is great. More power than I expected. Fairly lightweight. A few things I did not expect is how often you have to tighten the blade and the fact that the battery didn't last near as long as I thought it would.

Works great! Easy to use.

Easy to use. Cuts great. My only issue is the chain came off twice when I first used it. Although, it's really easy to put the chain back on.

Great chainsaw.

Works great! Cuts well and perfect for cutting down and chopping up an average size tree. I have extra battery but one is usually enough.

Works Well

Only used it once but so far performed well. Was surprised chain dulled so quickly cutting just three small trees.

Safer than a gas powered chainsaw

Very convenient. Easy to change the chain without tools. Safe when user is in a difficult location; climbing a ladder to drop limbs. No need to keep it running or to struggle with cord pulling to restart it as you would have to do with a gas powered saw. Just get set, be safe and pull the trigger. Release the trigger when the limb has been cut. The saw shuts off. Plenty of power to fell a 16” diameter tree and larger. Dozens of cuts with one 7AH battery. The recharging of the battery is fairly q...

While I would recommend EGO to anyone, getting it from Lowes I would not. This was delivered on June 25 and finally unpacked it today. Surprise there was a charger and no battery yet the product clearly stated it comes with a 5.0AH battery. Upon opening, the box was clearly a return as it was improperly packed. Nothing in the box was bagged. EGO should think carefully using Lowes as an outlet for its products. Now I need to get a 5.0 AH battery just to use this.

Great saw for light duty work.

Bought this saw a couple of weeks ago as a backup to my gas saw and for cutting up smaller trees and limbs. I was cutting softwood for an hour and the saw worked great but I was disappointed that the battery boes not have a bar indicator showing how much batery is left.
