My XP9000IH

Purchased this for my home generator, having the ability to use propane as well as gas has taken my old system to an entirely new level. I have never had an issue when needed. After several storms events we added a XP13,000 unit now the house is totally self sufficient as well as my business shop and exterior freezers and food supply.

Off grid energy

I used the IP 9000 for 3 years. Totally reliable and super quiet . Have this as my only source of power for my cabin and 220 water pump. I would buy this Inverter/generator again!

I bought this generator two years ago rather than a Gener*** (name not mentioned) as I simply wanted portability. Dependable and Efficient

Had my Duromax inverter for 3 years now. I use it as my full power source, off grid in my Vacation home . Quiet and dependable, Runs my 220v water pump effortlessly, idle doen't raise when it kicks in. Wold buy again!

What do I do now?

Bought 4 years ago and it has 8 hours on it....Ice storm coming replaced battery and spark pulg and WILL NOT START!!!!! Back fires and will not start. I have kept in in my finished basement on a trickle charge out of the weather. Very frustrating.

terrible design and documentation. bad usability

the manual is completely useless and there are many bad design decisions that makes this hard to work on. for example, manual tells you to clean the sediment cup for maintenance, but nowhere does it say where it is and how to clean it. they made the carburetor drain plug in an awkward spot, as a result, its hard to drain without manually holding the funnel, and even then its too easy to spill some of it. they could have simply made the drain extend outward by an inch or added something to hold t...

Quiet and powerful

Bought this a year ago and had to use it twice once during summer after Hurricane beryl and once after a winter storm powered my entire house without any problem via 30 amp generator inlet box would highly recommend

Extremely Reliable

I've been using this generator for over 3 years—one of the most durable and reliable generators. Fuel efficiency is great. Will run a 50-amp camper with 1 AC unit at full blast for over 12+ hours. Take care of it and keep the oil clean and this thing will last you forever.

Neverending reliability

2 years use at my off grid vacation/hunting lodge. My duromax doesn't disappoint with it's quiet reliability. Would buy again, equals Honda's 7000 in quietness but with more power.

easy to use and move around

Used for apartment with electronics on the heat system and a few computers that need clean power. Easy move it around and can be quickly up and running. The dual fuel is handy to have just in case.

Disappointing

Worked well for one season. Failed to start for hurricane season two. Some sensor or kill switch is keeping the unit from turning over. Generator at authorized service dealer for the next 2-3 months...

Had this going on 3 years(2023). Quiet and pleasurable as compared to all previous generators I have owned and used at my vacation home without any comercial electric service. Remote start is the best feature as is the low DB's ...Would definitely buy again

Great Generator with weaknesses.

I bought two of these 2 years ago as home backup solutions. Wired in series, they provide power to run everything in my home. Awesome power and quiet. With less than 10 hours on each, they both failed at the same time on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. It turns out that the solenoid valve will fail causing a short in the system and burn out the fuse, which is buried under the display/control panel, making it difficult to reach and change.
