The material is like that of the plastic clamshell packages that grocery stores use for strawberries, blueberries, etc. I don't expect them to hold up well outdoors in the sun. I'll be lucky if they make it to the end of the summer. That being said, there aren't really any substantial competing products available at a reasonable price. To be honest, these really shouldn't cost more than 75 cents a piece.
