Ratings & Reviews for Dial Manufacturing 5300-CFM 3 -Speed Portable Evaporative Cooler for 1650-sq ft

oh need this, it will save you money.

Great Product

The Unit is serving the purpose of cooling the intended area/location.

Poor quality resulting in leaks

Bought mine July of last year and one month out of warranty it starts leaking on the bottom where two of the casters mount. Figured with the cost of it you’d get more than a years use out of it but that didn’t happen. Not to mention the rear bottom section below the cooling pads warps and no longer supports the upper section

Dial Portable Evaporative Cooler 5300

Bought this unit yesterday and used it today working on my truck and it was 93 what a life saver using this and staying cool. Love it!!

Cheaply made

Tank cracked near the casters less than 3 months just normal garage usage. Lowes warranty makes it difficult to return. Save your money

Noise not very efficient

Noisy Uses waaay to much water Does not even cool a 10x10 room very well

Junk

Plastic is too brittle Mine was delivered broke I kept anyway It still worked fine till I rolled it out on my deck and it cracked the bottom tank beside one of the rollers Pure junk

Average

Put it in my porch but doesn't seem it cools too good

Damaged goods

I purchased the first one, got it home and it had a hole in the water tank from a forklift. I returned it, got a second one home and the top of it was cracked severely. I had a gathering that night and needed a way to cool the porch so I just kept the second one. These were damaged from careless employees handling the freight without any care.

Toxic Smell

Toxic smell caused respiratory issues. Lowe's has a 48 hour return on this product which they do not inform customers about. It was delivered the afternoon of Tuesday June 30, 2026 and I reached out the morning of Saturday July 3, 2026 and they would not help me. Gave me the manufacturer's info, phone and email, but manufacturer will not respond. Lowe's does not care that their solution is a dead end. Very poor customer service from both. Do not purchase this product and do not purchase from ...

Product came broken

The top and side portions of the cooler were dented, cracked, and it looks like it was dropped in shipping.

Heat Buster

I purchased this unit a month ago and i really impressed with it. Works extremely well in the South Texas heat.

Air flow

The dial evaporator cooler does a nice job on the patio it could be a little bit stronger as far as airflow

Bought two both came in broken

I ordered one had delivered to Lowe’s Got it home it looked like it was thrown out the back of a truck when I opened the box Returned and ordered another had shipped to home it wasn’t as bad but broken also I’ll be returning it too I’ll order one from vevor for half the price

Purchased one at first liked the results, so went back and bought another. Helped keep guest cool during summer heat.

No one told him to put ice in it

Not up to my expectations

Air current

Use it in my 2 car garage. Even on low it puts out plenty of air. The oscillation is great feature.

Keeping cool

Very easy to navigate the website. Price was very competitive. Unit was ready for pickup quick and pickup was easy. Very smooth process.
