Best fence system!

Best table saw fence for a portable period. Saw dust exhaust works great with a vac, not so good without, 1/3 of the dust flies up through the tables drop in blade kerf. My biggest gripe is the blade lift mechanism can and will fail if you are not inclined to blow the dust from the underside. Basic house keeping is a must. I have learn from experience and have talked with other carpenters about the lift mechanism jamming. I still be love this saw.

Not what I expected

Bought this as my first table saw as I’d thought it was good for the price and size. I wish DeWalt would advertise that it does not accept dado blades or proper finishing blades to work with its knife. I bought it last year but finally got to using it yesterday, only to find out about its limitations. I wish I had known sooner so I could exchange it for the 10”. Lack of proper advertising it’s capabilities/limitations on DeWalt’s part.

An excellent choice

It is powerful and works great. It's easy to use and makes accurate cuts. I'd recommend it.

Other reviews capture why this is a great general purpose saw, so I'll just move on to my one issue... mounting it. The saw doesn't come with mounting bolts, and the bolts that came with the 7440RS stand are too large, and I can't find any official info on it. Some people mention 8mm, but that they don't fit perfectly. Others mount using the diagonal cut holes with lock washers, but this seems like a rig job for a brand new saw and stand made by the same company. I'd rather mount flush using the...

Good tool

Are use this daily on my remodeling job. The rack and pinion fence works just as good as my larger 10 inch Dewalt tablesaw. My only issue with this model is that the fence locking lever when you release it it put your hand right up into the rack and pinion gears of the fence guide. And they’re sharp and can do some damage to your hand.

Great table saw long as you dont need a dado blade

What id like to know is how so many people in the comments are incapable of using Google search to determine if this table saw accepts a dado blade before buying the product, assuming that's a deal breaker for them, it's a decent saw for the price with some flaws that can be tweaked and improved on as long as you don't need a dado blade.

hate to say this but

I recently got the 7485. first time buying a table saw. some aspects are great but it has huge limitations that I wish I had known before buying it - or I would not have purchased. The lack of dado but also how difficult (impossible) it is to get a blade that can make fine cuts and still work with the riving knife. it seems like a 40 tooth blade might be the limit. Very disappointed!!

Saw works great but its limitations are very disappointing. I bought the saw to use it to build cabinets. I spent lots of time building a table for it to sit in only to find out that it WILL NOT accept a ditto blade. Now I have my money and time invested in a saw that will not work for me. Very disappointed! I have many Dewalt tools but this one is disappointing. Guess I will have to find a replacement that I can afford. When my husband and I got married we both had one - won’t get rid of either. It handles his bigger projects & his “wear & tear” and is easy enough for me to do all of my projects as well. Have used others in the past that I wasn’t comfortable with & / he’s broken multiple in the past. I use it more than I thought I would.

This is a good machine for the money

I would like the table to be a little bit bigger and and the slots on the side of the blade to much play
