Would Not RecommendUsed as a Hammer Drill to drill pilot holes through quarter inch wood carpet tackstrip into concrete slab floors with a 1/8th inch drill bit. Drill bit continuously comes out of drill/chuck and gets stuck in the concrete. It is incapable of holding onto 1/8th inch drill bits. The chuck key is also made out of VERY soft material and strips out very easily leaving it impossible to use on the drill to tighten/loosen chuck. All around a bad hammer drill. Would Not RecommendHad the drill for 6 months before the motor died. Went through hours on the phone to get drill replaced (1 year warranty) and DeWalt wants me to ship to a repair facility at my cost ($30), and pay $90 repair fee- for $169 drill! Drill motor smoked after 6 months
Would Not RecommendUsed drill for 5 months mixing mortar and grout- worked great. Beware- 10A is VERY strong. In month 6 the motor smoked while drilling my first hole in concrete (3/8") I am very disappointed in this drill.
