Would RecommendI had to drill out a broken grade 8 bolt and the Dewalt cobalt drill bits were excellent and in fact I was surprised with the ease that the drills removed the grade 8 bolt metal. I started with a 1/8 inch drill and then just increased the size of the drill bits until I reached the maximum diameter needed.

Would Not RecommendHad a muffler with three broke bolts press fir in to flange. Biught these cuase sales person at lowes said they would work. Well i have a set of bit that might drill plastic cause thise three biltw burnt out the while set and i ciuld even get three holes drill out large enought to use the bolts i had to replace them.

Would RecommendBought this drill bit set to assist in the assembly of an Arrow carport (also purchased at Lowe's) . . . they drilled through the aluminum roofing and steel support structure with ease. The set case fits easily in my toolbelt pouch.

Would RecommendI used one of these bits to cut 16 1/4” holes in 3/8” angle iron. I used cutting oil and a lot of patience to avoid dulling the bit. Eventually I finished the task with a single cobalt bit where titanium & ordinary steel bits failed and went dull.

Would Not RecommendI had to drill 3/8” holes in to 1/8” steel plates. I couldn’t even finish one hole before the bit was completely dull so I had to finish the remaining 7 holes with an old bit that I already had.
