Tried the Dewalt again on very light stock months later and after 5 minutes of 1/64" deep cut on simple 4" wide material, the motor sparked, smoked and simply burned-up. I unplugged and spent the next three years trying to get Dewalt to honor their warranty. Now, five years later, even with all the e-mail communication with Dewalt from within the early warranty period, I still have the useless...

Great product , boatloads of power typical top notch from Dewalt. Improvements , would have loved a spherical cutter head , and the dust port gets in the way .

Would RecommendGood planner for most applications. I have ran it for a few hours prepping pine trim for a house. As long as the knives are kept sharp it has had very little issues keeping up with the softer wood. I have stalled it a few times on wider boards 6+ inches but for smaller boards had no issues.
