Ratings & Reviews for DEWALT 5.5 -Amp Variable Speed Keyless Jigsaw

Great Features

Especially like fast blade change & very easy to follow cut line. Also the grip handle has a very "natural" feel which helps during cutting.

The 5.5 Amp is a champ

The DEWALT 5.5 Amp Corded Jigsaw was performed exactly as I needed it to. I've had it for a week and have already used it for multiple projects at work and at home. Installing and removing the blade is very quick and easy. The cutting action was like running a hot knife through butter. Thanks Dewalt and Lowes!

Great saw, but lock switch is a problem.

The saw cuts well and appears to be of the quality I would expect from DeWalt. The only problem that I had was that the saw is front heavy, and after finishing a cut, the saw tilts forward, and I always seem to touch the trigger lock button which keeps the saw running. I am now aware of the issue and take care to avoid touching the switch, but it takes a conscious effort. I am a product safety engineer by trade and this definitely could be considered a safety issue.

Great Purchase

I always get great service at Lowe's , and they always have great deals on Quality name products.

Great Addition To My Tool Room

This saw is easy to handle when trying to make precise cuts and lightweight. Its a great addition to. Y tool collection.

Fantastic value, for the money.

Im a professional carptenter, and really impressed with this saw. It cuts faster and more accurately than several saws that cost twice or three times as much. It doesn't have a ton of useless extra features the more expensive saws have, and you probably won't miss them at all. The base plate is very solid and overall feel is very nice, and it just seems very well made . I'll never buy another Bosh after using the latest DeWalt jigsaws, especially at half the price. Just a great basic jigsaw!

It's a little heavy for me, does not have a light.

Smooth and powerful

I have been using a competing brand for some years. It does not have near the power and mobility of the DeWalt. I am very satisfied.

Sturdy Jigsaw

Solidly built. Good power. Smelled like hot oil after a long run through some ceramic tile, but kept on going. Rugged design for blade mounting.

I've had one for years and bought this one for my son for his tool shower before his wedding. I've always loved the simplicity in design and the ease of change with the blades. Great tool.

Perfect for a First Timer

I enjoyed my Dewalt cordless drill so much I decided to take a chance on this jigsaw. Not disappointed in the least! Was easy to use right out of the box. I had never used one and it was a piece of cake. I can say that it is perfect for that weekend project and could honestly say I could see it lasting a lifetime. The only complaint I can remotely come up with is saw dust often got in the path of the cut so that I couldn't see the line but honestly I don't know if that is just part of the job. D...

Great saw

Got this as a gift for Christmas. Used it for the first time. Great power and easy to use. A tad bit heavy but overall a great saw

Quality product

Always a quality product from Dewalt. Made building my deck so much easier.
