Best jigsaw for the buck!

This is by far the best jigsaw there is on the market in the price range! It’s welk built, very durable and easy to use! I wish it had a detachable cord though! I can make a lot of easy cures at any degree! If your in the market to get a jigsaw this is the one to get!

Limited application

I tried thin wood cuts and metal bar cuts and it did well. I tried cutting a 2 X 10 with disastrous results. Every tool has its application. This tool should be rated for one third or half inch or less.

DEWALT corded jigsaw

This item cost a lot of money and in my opinion it was a dangerous piece of equipment to use as the trigger control did not function well the saw blade kept running when trigger was released saw lay on bench with blade moving although it was moving slowly I assume it could start faster at anytime, I returned the saw to merchant where purchased and bought another brand saw.

Great Jigsaw

This saw is vibration free and turns on a dime. The blade clamp is sturdy, the reversible shoe is handy for detail work and also stays in place when locked for cutting angles. It is a pleasure to use.

Good Overall Jigsaw

I wanted a corded jigsaw and decided on the Dewalt. It didn’t disappoint. It is easy to guide. A blower ensures sawdust is cleared from the path so marks can easily be followed. It has power for cross cuts and even ripping, although it slows down a lot while ripping with the grain. My only concern is the trigger is a bit touchy. The ergonomic design of the handle and proximity of the button had me accidentally running the jigsaw while I was holding it. Still, a great jigsaw.

Old B&D with a broken base would cut straighter !

Couldn't even make a 1' straight cut using a clamped on guide with this jigsaw. The blade wouldn't stay in the guide and walked off to the side, this same problem is also mentioned in other reviews that I read after I returned the saw and got a refund. I bought it because I have a Dewalt circular saw that has served me well, this jigsaw isn't even in the ballpark of that circular saw, as a matter of fact I ended up using the circular saw, a hacksaw, and files to do the cutting that I needed to d...

fooled by the yellow color

i went to lowes to get a porter cable jigsaw but they were out. the manager said he could discount the dewalt so I got it instead. I thought because it was a dewalt it would be better..wrong. the saw works and cuts fine BUT it throws the sawdust on your cutting line and in your face and I do not have enough wind in me to keep blowing the dust off the line. I have even used a air gun to blow the dust off. obvious design flaw. if I could take it back I would.

Won't cut straight

This saw has plenty of power but that is where it ends. I have tried about a dozen cuts with this thing and it will not cut straight up and down. The blade keeps popping out of the guide and then the cut goes at an angle. It seems that where the saw goes up and down is way to sloppy and it moves around too much. Any little pressure just moves the thing all over the place. Sorry Dewalt but I will be returning this.

Works good but blade falls out

Like the saw... but it has a habit of the blade coming out easy and often. Considering taking it back for that reason

Great Jigsaw

This is a great saw. High quality and easy to use out of the box. The only critique is that the lock button is not the easiest to engage. The line of sight while cutting is well designed and the handle is comfortably designed.

Really helped in laying a floor and cutting around vents.

Good saw but not great saw

The saw works great and feels quality built. The only thing I don't like about it is you can't see the cutting line because of saw dust piling up in front of the blade. It needs a little hole at the blade somewhere so the motor fan can blow the saw dust out of the way. The way it is now, you cut a 1/4 inch and blow the saw dust out of the way, cut 1/4 inch and blow again.

Bought from discount table was labeled as display model. Got it home and it had multiple problems from blade retaining lever missing to blade jigging lever being stuck in position. Unit was packed up like new.
