Would Not RecommendBought this drill bit to drill a hole in 1/8" mild steel. Drilled a 3/8" pilot hole before using this 5/8 DeWalt Black and Gold drill bit. This Dewalt 5/8" drill bit lost its cutting ability halfway through the 1/4" steel plate. If I wanted this quality of drill bit I would have shopped at Harbour Freight and bought several for the same price. At least with two or more lower-quality bits, I would have made it all the way through the 1/8" plate before running out of bits.

Faulty drill bit
Would Not RecommendI was drilling out a broken bolt. Purchased this bit to remove the bolt. Drill did not cut wery well had to drill smaller pilot hole. Bolt I was removing was not hardened steel. Drill bit must not have been sharpened well during manufacturing process
