Powerful little helper!

My wife bought this for me when she found a deal and thought it would help with cutting pipe for fencing. I honestly thought it was going to be to small, but I was very wrong. This little guy made a world of difference for me. It cut straight and smooth. I was pleasantly surprised by the battery life (4ah), it worked all day. This definitely made cutting pipe for our cattle corral a whole lot easier. Great product, design and ergonomics.

Read before you buy

Don't buy this. The tool is useful but will malfunction. It will try to work but will only click. If I keep pulling the trigger, up to 15 minutes, it will work and after that it will work fine until it sits overnight. It was still under warranty and DeWalt said I'd have to pay to have fix it.

I was a bit skeptical about this tool at first but it has already paid for itself.

Worked a few times, then died

I used it for about a year, for a few small-light jobs. I want to grab it to use it the other day, and it’s dead. Just as others have reported the motor jerks the LED flickers and then nothing. I have a lot of DeWalt tools that have taken a lot of abuse and still work great. This tool obviously doesn’t get used a lot so I’m extremely disappointed how it failed. I’m not sure who Dewalt contracted to make these, but hopefully they don’t use them again.

Wasn't sure on how much I would use this tool. I already have three corded grinders, a cordless grinder and a die grinder but this little cut-off saw has become more useful and convenient as time goes by.

Does not work

I used right after purchase for small project. Now few months later, it does not work. Guide light blinks. Motor does turn at all. I own a large amount of Dewalt tools. I of never had any negative experience. So disappointed and feel like I was ripped off.

Use once, now it does not work

I used once, right after purchasing. I didn’t have a need to use again for almost a year, now that I have a need to use it, It won’t start. I’m so disappointed with this tool. I own an extensive amount of Dewalt tools and now to have this happen is very upsetting. I feel like I was ripped off.

I was excited to use my brand new cut off tool. but upon going to use it the motor would run but the wheel wouldn't spin.

A five star tool !

This is a life saver and a game changer tool. Where I used to carry an angle grinder to cut through padlocks and bolts and chains this is now making the job ten times faster and safer . Also cutting off nails in old wood is so much quicker . I work in my local council and often have to get into old park sites and fencing in emergencies and this tool does it all and leave up one hand to hold stuff safely .

Favorite toy ! I mean tool !

I love this tool. It became my favorite new tool very quickly. For different type of projects, then my wife used it and stole it from me. And it's now her favorite tool.

Outstanding versatile tool.

I bought the tool a month ago and love it! It is versatile in so many ways. I have used it to cut out sink holes because of the blade being so close to the edge. I have cut aluminum rebuilding my boat. Great tool.
