This saw has been a Godsend from interior work to outside tree trimming.

Recip Saw

I didn't need a real heavy duty saw, just one that would do most of the jobs. I thought this would be a lightweight, it is not it is the real thing. It is a little lighter but that does not mean it is a lightweight when it comes to work.

Nice Power in a Smaller Size

Power and stability is comparable to my corded Milwaukee, but the smaller size and lighter weight make it much more convenient. Having an adjustable shoe would be nice, and this is probably the loudest reciprocating saw I've used, but I guess those are the trade-offs for the compact size.

Fantastic Tool

I've had a few reciprocating saws over the years, corded and cordless, but I must say that this machine kicks butt like no other! This single tool has made me a Dewalt convert.

Great replacement for old 18v

I purchased this unit to replace an older 18v sawsall. I have used it to cut decking and nails. I was excellent and has features my old United not. It is also ergonomically more comfortable to use.

Dewalt 20v sawzall

Well built. Heavy and vibrates too much.

Just picked this up but haven't used it on the job. Stuck a battery on it and squeezed the trigger and boy does this thing vibrate. Can't see myself using this for more than a few minutes (electrical work). Despite this being advertised as lightweight, it is anything but. Disappointing. This tool with an added 20v 4.0 aH battery has considerable weight to it. Will be returning and exchange for the standard 20V.

Great!

My 18v sawzall just gave up the ghost, and I need one all the time. This model has more power and is more compact. Plus I love that it works with my 60v batteries for longer run time!

Compact and powerful

Purchased this after my other saw died. This saw has lots of power and compact size gets into tight spots that my last one had a hard time with. Love Dewalt tools.

Brushless Is The Way To Go

I absolutely like the fact that it's compact and lightweight and can go all day even cutting through metal as that's mainly what I use it for.

Dewalt compact sawzall

Works well. I used it to demo a 2 person hot tub with 3/8 inch fiberglass. Definitely plan on purchasing a 5 mAh battery if you have a bigger job, or some spares. I only have 1 battery at this time. Once dead, they are too hot to charge, and cause an error on the charger. Works as a great pruner (up to 4 inch) for higher tight spots.

Get'er done!

Plenty of power with now cords. I Had a corded reciprocating saw before this and thought a battery wouldn't be powerful enough, but I was very wrong. It has a smaller more compact design that makes jobs much easier. It also has a pivoting head so you can switch the blade to cut in 4 different directions.

Brushless compact saw

Had been wanting one of these and bought when it went on sale. This thing is a beast, has a ton of power in a very small package. Versus the full size saw I have, on the plus side it’s brushless. The only negative is the foot isn’t adjustable, which isn’t a big deal. Glad I bought it, works great.

Like the vertical handle design

Quite handy with the options for the blade at different angles.
