Really nice tool.
Would RecommendReally like the range on the clutch. You could go from assembling electronics to driving hinge screws into virgin wood without stripping the threads. Probably get by driving deck screws also but I wouldn’t want to tackle building a deck with it. The chuck could be nicer, the chuck on my 4V green driver that is going away is better. 12V power for a screwdriver is nice and with this drivers clutch, it is not a worry about being over powered and you get decent speed. Used mine for the first time to...

Best Compact Driver B/C of its Features
Would RecommendFinally put aside my ignorance for 12v brick battery tools when I tested this out in store. I always figured why make a compact tool and not have the battery built into the grip otherwise just use a 18-20v if the brick battery is your style. However this grip feels really good and would say it feels like the comfort of a handgun as oppose to a thick stripper pole that MKE and Bosch sell for 12v tools that I use. It's a driver with a nice delicate clutch, which is perfect for my line of work of f...
Don’t underestimate Dewalt’s 12V platform.
Would RecommendI don’t like to use too much tool when I don’t have to. I do a lot of furniture assembly and wall mounting for work, and this puppy rocks. It has more than enough power and fits into much tighter spots than my previous go-to 20V.

Love this little drill
Would RecommendI have a lot of 20V DeWalt tools. I was hesitant to buy this 12V. But I’m very glad I did. You’re not going to drive hundreds of long deck screws with this. But that’s not what it’s for. Compact and lightweight and part of that is the smaller lighter battery. Bought this complete kit with charger and two batteries. My new favorite DeWalt. I’ve been using it just now to drill and install many cabinet knobs and pulls. This is a drill.. not an impact, so smooth variable speed. Light touch on the tr...

Hands down incredible
Would RecommendWow, this drill is AMAZING! Perhaps it's because it's my first "real" (expensive) drill I've ever purchased, but wow. It is hands down incredible. SUPER smooth, with unbelievable control. How strong, how fast, everything. It's all on you. Not to include that the drill head itself is so incredibly small it's able to fit into areas my other drill wouldn't even come close to. That same small drill head has a massive light ring that goes all the way around it, so even when you think you didn't need ...

Broke at 9 months - Warranty is a joke
Would Not RecommendI used this light duty on industrial printers for 9 months. All T20 work and below, very low power stuff. The clutch/teeth/collet section stopped working. The online warranty service states the unit is under warranty but they do not repair this model. I contact support directly and they refer me to the website to schedule a repair that doesn't exist as an option. Now they won't respond. This is my last DeWalt. Milwaukee's warranty service is amazing and their tools are 10x more durable. Buy once...

Solid Power Screwdriver
Excellent power driver.

Good for low torque applications.
Would RecommendMost people already have a drill and impact driver, this fills the gap between a handheld manual screwdriver and the drill. Since it's lightweight it helps reduce fatigue when all you are doing is driving or removing small screws. I definitely needed this when I was repairing my dryer because I had to remove the battery before I could get my big 18v drill into the access hole. Of all the major power tool companies Dewalt and Milwaukee offer a lower power 12v platform. The Dewalt is brushless whi...

Good little tool
Would RecommendI read some reviews complaining the this tool would not hold a small bit. After looking at the tool they complainers are using the wrong type of bits. The bits must have a grove about 3/8 of an inch down the shaft to lock into the chuck. So it’s an operator error on those complainers.
Perfect Companion
Would RecommendPerfect compliment to your 20v line. Can do some of the same work as the 20v, but the 20v tools are too brutal for the delicate stuff this drill performs perfectly on. If you're a DIY Dad/Mom, this is all you need.
