Boy howdy do I love this thingy! I've upgraded from an older model (a screwdriver) and this thing turns those screws like it's nobody's business. But it's not nobody's business, it's DeWaLt's business and they sure do excel. Now I'm no expert, but 20 volts sure is a lot of them. drill ok but some features wrong

Drill has plenty of power. However i have an old GMC 18v and the batteries last longer the the new lithium in the Dewalt.. My may concern is (and very disappointed) that the light on the drill to see in darker areas of work doesn't shine on the bit. Only shines below the work area being done. Just hope it last 9 years like my GMC 18V.

Meets or exceeds my expectations.

This tool has either met or exceeded my expectations. Good quality, great torque, holds a charge and it is easy to use. Some people would probably have given this 5 stars across the board but I am usually more conservative in my ratings.

Lot's of bang for the buck!

This has a lot of bang for the buck, it's got a tremendous amount of torque, a very bright light, long battery life, and fits comfortably in the hand. A relatively small form factor and light weight makes it easy to work with for long periods of time, it's a winner in my book - I could go on - but you get the picture. Reliable Cordless Drill

The 20-Volt Max 1/2-in Cordless Drill with Hard Case is a reliable workhorse. I'm done with buying unreliable, cheap drills that conk out after a year's use. The DeWalt 20-Volt Max is a reliable workhorse that will last for years. Glad I bought it.

What power... It's awesummm!

OMG, I luv this thing! It is way better than that other 20v one I have, a B&D. It's solid, powerful, and seems to last all day! I actually luv the light, but wish it would not run quite soo long after letting off the trigger. And I wish the batteries had that "Fuel Gauge" thingie...

Dewalt quality

after the batteries on my 24V Chinese made cordless drill expired, I bought this Dewalt after reading the reviews. I've found the drill to be very light weight, and surprisingly powerful. I have not charged the original battery yet and I've been using it off and on for two weeks now. Wished I had bought this drill first.

Another great DeWalt product.

I needed a new cordless drill/driver, and after trying (and burning up in a year) a Bosch, decided to go back to DeWalt. Great drill, comfortable and balanced, the amount of power these things has is awesome. Easily drives 4 inch deck screws in wet treated lumber with no muss or fuss. The only thing that I don't like about the drill is the bit holder. It is seriously engineered like a last minute add on. Otherwise, great product.

darn good

Had a 24 volt Bosch cordless hammer drill. Worked like a charm. After years of "hard" use it finally wore out. Bought a Porter cable 18 volt, batteries don't last and they get hot so you have to wait to charge them. Bought this one and it is a dream. Lighter than my 24volt but nearly as powerful. Not using it as much anymore so I figure this will be my last drill. Drills and hammer nice, smooth and quiet. Well worth the difference in price from the less expensive ones.

Beautiful tool

Was tired of getting my DeWalt corded drill out and extension cord for drilling and driving screws so finally broke down and got this. Considering you get two batteries and the charger it probably comes out about the same or cheaper to the less expensive drills that you have to buy the charger and battery separately. And the nice case you get holds the drill, the charger and both batteries. The motor is the smoothest one I have ever seen on a drill and the trigger is smooth and easy to control. ...

What a great little drill.

I'm coming from a 12 volt so this was a great surprise. This drill is STRONG. It's also comfy, well balanced and easy to operate. The light that stays on for a few seconds after you let off the trigger is a brilliant idea. I installed a new patio door on day won with this drill and I used the same battery all day - uninstalling the old door and installing the new.
