Solid Performer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this drill for several years. I have used it on a long list of projects. It has never failed to provide strong dependable performance. The battery life exceeds what I have been able to obtain from other brands. I am currently in the process of converting all my tools to Dewalt and look forward to using more of the Flex Volt system and having all of my cordless tools on a single battery platform.

Reliability!

Does not last long.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the dcd780 in a kit just over three years ago. I used it no more than 15 times and it burned out the motor. I tried to find a replacement motor on the dewalt web site but the web site is horrible to go on. I liked the old 18 volt tools myself. They were more rugged and had more power. So with that said, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Great drill, but battery didn't last

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned this drill for several years. Kit came with charger and two batteries. One battery has completely failed - it will not charge. Charger works with other battery. The drill and batteries are not heavily used, so I am surprised about the battery.

Top Quality Drill

The batteries on this one last a LONG time. Thr lighted drive spot is nice for working in some spots. Carry bag is small, lightweight and durable. Bought probably 10 of these as either gifts, or worker tools. Keep making this drill.

fits my hand like a glove

I remodel homes so I have to have reliable good tools.. we are only as good as our tools we use..

Reliable, Durable, The Only Drill You'll Need

While I don't have anything to compare it to, I honestly wouldn't buy any other brand just based on my experience. The drill is very ergonomic, powerful, the battery life is great, it's durable, and always reliable to get the job done. Hands down, my preferred brand when it comes to power tools.

Perfect Lightweight Drill with power to spare

Generally this drill works well. 20 volt batteries are great. The two issues I dislike - when at max rpms and you release the trigger the chuck opens & drops the bit. A pain up on the ladder. Secondly, trigger is way to sensitive, zero rpm to max rom with little vsriance in between.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own 2 of these, both had to be serviced b4 the first year was over. one never worked rite out of the box. they arent very durable compared to the 18 volt drills. tryed mixing thin set didnt last a few minutes, grabbed my 20+ year old 18 volt an mixed all day long with out a problem. Works good for drilling small holes or for the house wife but not heavy enuff to actually do real work.

Lighter and Long Lasting!!!!!

I am able to drive 3" screws all the way into the wood within a couple of seconds and without stripping the heads.
