Great tool for small places. Purchased to secure another joist to a weaken joist. Amazing amount torque for a small drill.

This is my third or fourth DeWalt right angle drill. I love them! They fit into tight spaces that “normal” can’t, and into your hand better as well. Once I discovered them years ago, they have become my go-to drill/driver, which I use 90% of the time. Their only deficiency is their lack of torque range adjustments; I have ripped off way too many screw heads because I failed to slow down and stop drilling in time.

Waste of money

First drill was a disappointment and didn’t last long, motor burnt up after a few times using it. Ordered my second one in June (hoping DeWalt had upgraded the motor), burnt up on the first day of using it. Excellent Dewalt product!

Excellent power and ergonomics, used it in several places on my automobile to get into difficult areas. The LED light is very good, and variable trigger function works well.

Steel plate

Drill holes in 1/2" steel plate in tight space. Plenty of power and good speed in low range. Tool seems well made and should last.

Comes in handy, not a bad tool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its not the greatest quality, but it definitely comes in handy from time to time. To my knowledge, this is the only right angle drill DeWalt makes, which I find a little disappointing. I also don't like that its only a 3/8" chuck, because it prevents me from using some of my bigger hole saws and augers. As a trade professional, I would absolutely buy a "XR" or "Atomic" right angle drill with a half inch chuck.

Junk

If I could give this product no stars I would. I have had 3 different drills. The first drill burnt up before I even got to use it. The other 2 has burnt up as well. I'm getting my money back and going to get a Rigid.

Great for what it is

Is it the strongest drill dewalt makes? No, but I also dont think its marketed to be so, after all it is a small right angle drill. I bought this drill to use in tight spots to drill out broken bolts and stripped out screws and so far it has worked very well for me.

Burned Out Within a Year

I bought this to drill in tight spaces where for normal drill would not reach. In the same vein as other reviews, this thing worked great when I was just drilling small 1/8" holes with it. As soon as the drill encountered an obstacle with a larger bit the motor smoked and smells like burning plastic. It still spins but has excessive sparking, noise, and continues to smell like burning plastic.

Worked at first....

I bought this drill for a few projects in tight spots and after the 3rd or forth use. it started smoking and quit.
