a bit expensive compared to others

nice product on the expensive side

disappointed

beware this lamp does not 'fit over' the vinyl x 4 post. You have to 'glue' it on the top of the vinyl. The so called directions lack much. It says to access the battery, you simply twist off the top. Well twisting a square item has it's challenges. I had to literally take 4 very small screw drivers and jam them in the 4 seams to raise the top enough to twit it off. It's almost as if the designer tried to make it as hard as possible to install. Good luck.

Not Worth It

This product has a nice design visually; however, the installation of the product is not worth it. There is too much 'play' on the post. Yes, it does not fit correctly. I was trying to mount the supplied hardware to the post, but you can't. If you are able to mount the supplied sizing brackets to you wooden post.. You will then need to attach that to the light fixture. Now you can buy an additional product.. GLUE to attach it to the post. These light cost too much not to have the supplied h...

Cool (blue) Lighting

These post caps have a nice look to them. The lumen power is great but the color of the bulbs are cool white. I prefer a warm white light. They will be going back because of this reason.

NICE LOOK AND SOFT LIGHTING

The lights work great. The only thing that affected not getting 5 stars and my giving it 4 stars was no instructions how the lights are supposed the sit on the post. Inside are 4 little screws that affect the lights sitting flush and flat on the posts. There are no screw holes to attch to the posts and relies on adhesive that i had to go back to get and required a full tube and two days of setting for the lights to feel somewhat secure enough that they would not be easily knocked off. Poor Quality

I have 21 of this model LED deck lights on my deck. After a few years the inside light battery with LED light unit fall apart from the top of the unit. The plastic battery unit is very light plastic deteriorates over time. I have replaced several units over the past couple of years. They are great when working but replacement cost is too high for limited life of poor quality. Please do not buy this light unit.

They work, but are not built to last

We've been using these solar post lights from Lowe's for about 10 years now. The fact that they rely on rechargeable AA batteries is both a plus and a minus; on the plus side, they are readily available; on the minus side, expect to replace batteries once or more during thier lifespan, and some of the off-brand cells you find in these solar postcaps don't fare well in the durability department. Nice solar light with some exceptions

Very nice light but doesn’t fit real well and not sure how to secure it to post as there’s a pretty big gap on two of the four sides. Only other negative is that it’s expensive.
