Would RecommendGood screws, these do better than the 1 inch which all seem to strip with star bit. These go it without pilot drilling. Have also used 3 1/2 inch which is good for beach environment.

Would Not RecommendWhile using these in pine, every 3 screws or so would snap in half as I was putting them into the wood.

Terrible screws avoid them
Would Not RecommendThese deck screws are terrible. The heads cam out, heads snap off. I bought a 5lb container & used half for my deck spindles. The spindles were only an inch thick & these screws could not handle the job. I threw the rest in the recycle bin where they belong. My suggestion is spend the extra money on a better screw, I ended up purchasing GRK screws for my deck boards & they worked flawlessly. They cost a lil more but I have piece of mind. *****You’ve been Warned!****

Best with impact driver
Would RecommendUsing these in a fence building project. Using a power screwdriver I was initially disappointed. Despite claims on the box, the T25 sockets on the screws stripped quite easily (despite drilling pilot holes). After I switched to an impact driver they worked much better.

Use caution
Would RecommendThese screws are stainless steel. Not heat treated, therefore soft. They have a T30 head. So it’s very easy to twist of the heads in even moderately tough material. Drill pilot holes and all should go well. Just don’t treat them like a deck screw. The manufacturer chose rust resistance over strength.
