Would RecommendThese are good screws if you are only working with composite decking with pressure treated wood structure. I was using them with a steel structure and even after pre-drilling the hole occasionally they would snap off. They worked pretty well but they were probably not the right screw for the application

Pre drill and use the slower speed on your drill.
Would RecommendWorked really well with the Trex decking. They hold tight and disappear just under the surface for a flat deck you can walk on with bare feet.
