Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Most customers report severe functional failures with this texture spray, citing clogging within seconds, poor spray control, and excessive overspray that wastes material and creates mess. Many describe inconsistent texture results that fail to match existing finishes, with poor adhesion requiring awkward application angles. A smaller group found it effective for very small patch repairs, praising ease of use and water-based cleanup. However, widespread clogging, uneven coverage, and disappointing results dominate feedback, leaving most reviewers dissatisfied despite occasional success on minimal repairs.

Messy. But builds skills
It drips and flings everywhere but that’s how it is supposed to go on the wall. You have to constantly move the can. It’s definitely an art.

purchased not as easy as they say
Would Not Recommendi purchased this product because i as very new to wall texture and it wasnt as easy as they make it out to be as well as you might as well use the whole can because even if you do like the video say turning it upside down and spray my can still wouldn't work for round two

Dap is Crap | Total Mess
Would Not RecommendI tried to use this Oil Based Damp Texture and it literally went everywhere. 5 minutes of "Texturing" ended in 3 hours of clean up. Never use the Oil Based Version better yet use the Homex Water Based Version as it sprayed better, easier to control, and simple cleanup. Damp recreated what happens after a evening at Taco Bell!

29.00 rip-off
Does not spray, just drips out of the nozzle with half the can on the floor. Worthless!

Awful
Would Not RecommendI purchased and returned 3 cans. I bought one and it worked for about 2-3 seconds and I let off of the trigger. It never sprayed again. Rinse and repeat 3 times total. The only reason I tried 3 is because I'm at Lowe's almost daily so it was easy to return and grab another can.

Coating was to thin; Very little "popcorning".
Would Not RecommendSpray was difficult to control even after shaking for 1 minute and applying at the 12" to 18" range per the instructions. Coating was to thin; Very little "popcorning" affect.

Canned Ceiling Texture Sprays Don’t Work
Would Not RecommendCeiling texture sprays just don’t work as described, despite the effort and expense the consuming public places into these products. Same dismal experiences with both DAP and Homax products: nozzles get clogged way too quickly, 50-60% of the texture ends up on the floor, spray adjuster ceases to work and the can pressure runs out before the contents have been ejected and used. Product should be pulled from the market for ceiling use. And in fairness to the makers, does work well on walls.

Trial and Error
Would RecommendEasy to use application container. But not good for small patching projects cause the spray pattern is too much for the job.

Don’t waste your time with this
Would Not RecommendAbsolute useless garbage. Can’t even spray the ceiling and sprayer clogs up all the time. Covers about 4 sq ft a bottle because most of the product will end up on the floor.

Tried it once never again
Would Not RecommendWeak spray barely pushing out the material. The texture is too smooth and can’t replicate heavy knockdown ceiling pattern. Awful just wasted $70+
