What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this exterior patching compound for exceptional durability, ease of application, and versatility across diverse surfaces including fiber cement, vinyl, wood, stucco, and metal. Reviewers consistently describe it as creamy, ready-to-use, and simple to spread and smooth with minimal sanding. Many note repairs have held up for years through storms and weathering where previous products failed. Would RecommendDAP Patching Compound is the real deal. It kind of looks like spackle but it is far more versatile and durable than spackle. I am repainting kitchen cabinets that were installed 20 years ago. On installation there were gaps, uneven angles etc between the cabinet frames. DAP Patching Compound is doing an outstanding job of leveling everything out. It sands perfectly level, has great adhesion and is tough as nails. Perfect product for patching Hardi-plank siding.
Would RecommendExactly what I've been looking for. I had two Hardi plank siding repairs that needed done. One board had a long chipped up bottom edge. The other had a fairly deep hole where a limb had hit during a storm. DAP patching compound was easy to apply then sand to a perfect finish. I have primer on them and ready for paint.

Dries REALLY hard, but have had success sanding it with 60 grit with cordless sander. Too bad it's so bright white, but will paint (high quality latex) to match the rest of the stained wall. Would buy and use again, for sure! It would be neat if they could figure out a way to let users blend in colors to make it...
