I shouldn't have bought Dap Wood Filler

I used this product on my son's outside fence to cover holes I made during installation. A week after staining, I used the Dap Wood Filler 3 in 1 precisely as directions indicated; however, I ended up with a blotchy mess. I had to go to Sherwin-Williams for help. Not a good wood filler

This is more like joint compound than a wood filler. Its easy to use but provides no wood filler qualities. It does not stain. Followed directions for mixing with stain and it was ineffective.

restyling built in oak vanity

I used this to cover the wood grain on a built in oak vanity that I then painted with chalk paint. It worked great. It helped me make a new smooth surface over the wood and level out some slightly warped pieces inside on the bottom. I bought two, the first had mold in it. Second was good to go. Only thing I’ve found is it takes very little water, if you even want to use water, to dilute this as a grain filler. Hood Stuff

Used on a crown molding job. Did a fantastic job of covering holes and filling in gaps. Really happy that it doesn’t shrink after application and is pretty easy to sand to a smooth finish.

Great filler

I have tried 3 different wood fillers but they didn't work very well, I bought this brand and it worked miracles, easy to apply, it dried fast, no craks, and sanded perfectly.

Works and is easy to apply

This is economical and simple to use. It is applied like spackel and dries quickly for sanding. Good for non structural repairs.

Good Wood Filler, but NOT a Good Grain Filler

I want to preface this review by stating that this product does fine as a wood filler. I've filled gouges and scratches with this product and was happy with the results. Get Bondo Wood Filler instead

I had run out of Bondo Woodfiller and didnt feel like driving an extra 10 minutes to buy more. Bought this stuff instead because it was closer. Totally useless product. I applied at noon (around 1/8" deep deck crack) and by dinner time, it was still semi-soft. That night it rained, splattering this white goo all over the place. Amazingly Good Filler

This is great wood putty that is easy to spread and use. Best one out there that dries hard . Many putty remain clay soft. This putty dries hard and is easy to paint over.

TIME SAVER & excellent product

I have used many wood fillers, epoxy bonds and "plastic" wood through the years but have never found one so easy to work with that didn't crack, shrink or separate. This stuff is amazing and absolutely my new favorite! No mixing water or cement polymers as water based product is mixed and ready to go. The door frame was with so it didn't match obivously, but it sanded really well and took the white paint over it well. Can't notice the small crack at all now. Really easy to use and looks great!

Wood Filler - The Next Generation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used other wood fillers in the past and never been fully happy with the results. This new product was simply amazing and allowed me to patch our kitchen table and finish it so that the holes are barely noticeable. I highly recommend this product for the patching holes, cracks and scratches in a wood top surface.

Amazing wood filler

I was surprised how well the wood filler took the satin to perfectly match the look of the rest of the table. So far I have had glasses sweat on the table and even had cups spilled and it did not even effect the finish. I will buying this wood filler again for future wood projects.

Great Product

I was surprised when it worked so well! I completed the job by myself and didn't even need my husbands assistance. I would definitely buy this in the future.
