Would RecommendThe shovel is great for the purpose, and the price is right. It's sized between a trowel and a full size round pointed shovel. Light duty only because it's part plastic. For stuff like handling potting soil, you can use it one-handed. I wouldn't try to dig in clay with it. About the Quality Control aspect: Manufacturer kicked it out the door without noticing the wood handle was rough with slivers sticking out all around where it inserts into the blade. Useful Craftsman Shovel
I bought this little shovel today. I used it to plant geraniums into a big oak barrel. This shovel made the job so much easier. It has just the right shovel head size and length. Then I used it to load dirt into large pots as I repotted live oak trees. Again, this shovel made the job faster, easier. Shovel is lightweight. I can carry it across the yard easily. Great price. I am a 68 yr old woman.
