Not suitable for horse poo

It is a tiny shovel, just right for picking up dog poo from my yard. Of course, my dog is small. You may need a bigger shovel if you have a German Shepard or Great Dane. Horse poo would definitely overwhelm this tiny shovel and don't even get me started on elephant poo. It would likely be good for gardening if you are the size of Winne the Pooh. Splitery (that's not a word - but we got slivers)

I bought this smaller shovel for my kids to actually help do yard work - as they were often asking and trying to use the larger shovels. The size is good, but the wood handle is not finished very well and we were getting slivers (me and the kids) quite a few times until we gave up and used a different shovel. MVP Garden tool

This small D handle shovel is about the size of the old GI entrenching tool. I bought it to mix my garden soil (topsoil peat sand) in a wheelbarrow. My wife loves using it to plant small shrubs and veggies. I find it to be a labor saver because of the light weight compared to a standard D handle and I highly recommend it. I’m finding it to be handy for so many different tasks.

Poor quality control at manufacturer

The shovel is great for the purpose, and the price is right. It's sized between a trowel and a full size round pointed shovel. Light duty only because it's part plastic. For stuff like handling potting soil, you can use it one-handed. I wouldn't try to dig in clay with it. Digs better than a spoon.

I love that it moves dirt from one place to another... for short distances anyway. It gets less efficient the farther away you have to take the dirt. Anything over 500 yards or so is just a waste of time and you really should get a trebuchet. But if you're only moving dirt 1-3 feet this thing is awesome!

Get what you pay for

This shovel isn't bad, it's just not as durable as I'd like. I got it to dig up grass for laying pavers and it's good for that. I really like how on the top of the shovel head where you would push down with your foot there are little horizontal metal pieces that allow you to really get a foothold when driving it into the ground. Great Little Shovel

I use this shovel to dig for finds with my metal detector, and my wife uses it in the garden to plant her flowers. It's the perfect size and so far seems to be quite durable.

Great light weight shovel

It is light i did not got tired of lifting the shovel. I’m a small person so I was able to push the shovel with my foot comfortably. I am very happy with this item. It also does not take up a lot of room in my garage. It is great for small projects. If I am going camping it is great to throw in with the rest of the gear.

Mistake at store

The little shovel is perfect. I did not pick it up in time so the shovel was put back on the shelf but I was mistakenly charged. Two very helpful customer service ladies straightened it all out for me. Thanks!!

Good Value for the Money

I bought this shovel specifically because of the square front. I have a couple of shovels that are the standard convex body with semi-pointed front edges but they don’t really hold that much dirt. I needed to move a lot of dirt on a couple of digging jobs so I got the square shovel and I am pleased with it. I compared the Craftsman and Kobalt shovels at Lowe’s.
