Poor design bump head

Just purchased today. After fueling, oiling. Initial start up. . And after a few moments the stronger head flew apart. . It’s medlar of stronger line. . Followed instruction manual with bump head reattached to restring. . Cranked back up. 30 seconds later bump head flies off. . . . By the 3rd attempt I realized the clips for the bump head are not go my to hold it on under centrifugal force. . Drained it, loaded back into box and going for my refund. . Don’t even want to...

Not durable

Used it for the first time and the stringer head disintegrated! Not a great product

Not A Good Idea

The amount smoke is horrendous & nauseating Garage door open, trimming halfway down the side of the driveway, set the smoke detector off in the garage. There are chronic issues with the design of this unit. Craftsman was always associated with Quality... Make an effort to protect your reputation. 3 days old...I will be returning it to the store

It was what I needed and the price was reasonable.

Recently purchased

So far so good. Quieter than the 2 cycle predecessor. Nice to not have to mix the fuel! Easy assembly. Slightly heavier than the 2 cycle but the shoulder strap took care of that. Remember to follow the instructions if you sore the unit by hanging it.

This product has truly exceeded my expectations, demonstrating superior performance and reliability. Not worth it, buy something else.

Bought this a couple years ago. The pull string broke last year and then two days ago I went to start it and wouldn’t start. Started checking things and well… checked the oil and there was more fuel than oil in the crank case. Something cracked and broke. I take good care of my equipment and this thing has been one thing after another. Don’t buy it.

Glad I didn't listen to the bad reviews. Has been one of the best trimmers I have ever had. Hard working machine and quite for a gas weed eater.

Quality check before you buy this product.

I bought the newer model Weed eater to replace the old unit and discovered the weed eater attachment is less than sub-Par. The power unit itself is great. The weed eater attachment falls apart at use and is worthless. The only reason I'm still using the newer model is because my old weed eater attachment works with the new unit.

Good running machine

This machine is a great fit for the rest of my equipment. I like that it is not a has an oil mix and you only need one gas can in your garage . This is my second one in 6 years

Terrible

I bought this weed eater two years ago and it worked great. After a few uses last year, it would not stay on after a few minutes. I figured it was a fluke and I had done something wrong. So, I tried again and bought another one last year because it did work good....when it worked. And here we are, a I used it a few times this year and it quit working again. So, I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS WEED EATER!!!

Have spent more time fighting the weed eater than weed eating grass. Unreliable fuel system and now unreliable line spooling. Very frustrating. Warranty claim incoming.
