Unreliable tool..

I purchased this trimmer expecting a reliable tool, but unfortunately, it has completely failed after just two uses. The unit will start, but the moment I attempt to move the choke from position 1 to position 2 or 3, it immediately chokes out and dies. I have spent a significant amount of time trying to resolve this. I repeated the starting sequence dozens of times, drained and replaced the fuel, checked the air filter, and inspected the spark plug. Despite all of this troubleshooting on a pract...

I used it four times and it stopped working; it's still under warranty, plus I bought Lowe’s warranty but no one is taking responsibility.

A complete piece of garbage

I purchased this machine less than one year ago 10/18/2025. It was not used commercially and just as DYI. I used it less then 15 times and had to rebuild the carburetor at my cost. According to the technician that work on the machine the carburetor was clogged because the fuel filter had completely dissolved. I had been using pre-mixed gas for the duration of operation. When I went to put in a warranty claim they stated that the carburetor is a disposable item and not part of the manufactu...

Easy to use

Quality product with easy to use features.

Poorly engineered

It seems as though I have to replace this same unit every two years. I made the mistake of buying into the attachments and now I'm stuck buying this junk. Next time it fails, I'm trashing the attachments and calling it a loss.

Worst Warranty / Product ever

Dont ever buy this product ever. Lowes or craftsman have the worst warranty i used it one time! ONE! and tried it a second time after a month and of course, Lowes says that my warranty expired and Craftsman made me take it to a shop 1 hour away my house and they are still "working on it" for over 2 months now.

Work for one season then now doesn’t want to stay running or it will run for five minutes then shut off and doesn’t crank again.

Purchased and used this product for barely over a year and it is NO GOOD! Should have lasted more than that time period.

Poorly Built - Will Not Last - Don't Buy

Out of the box - it ran and performed fine. Reloading the trimmer line is easy and fast. Fast forward a couple of month, first it started sputtering, now it refuses to start. the primer bulb doesn't work rendering it worthless. Lowe's refuses to do anything to help. Craftsman just pointed me back to Lowes - Lowes directs me back to Craftsman. Do yourself a favor - get a better trimmer and/or pay for the additional warranty coverage - without it, neither Lowe's or Craftsman will help you and ...

It gets the job done.

I finally decided to go back to a gas trimmer when my battery operated one died. This Craftsman does exactly what I need it to do & cuts through tall grass with ease. I do find that it's a bit heavy (for this old lady anyway).
