Craftsman one time use ratchet

Purchased this Ratchet about a year ago and since its a tool I did not keep the receipt. I put it in my tool chest and left it there, it was so shiny that i did not want to get it dirty. I have been using my old oil caked ratchets until on that fateful day I grabbed it to go do some wrenching on my car. The first bolt I tried it on sheared the drive gear off.
