Would RecommendThe 4-piece Socket Extension set is optional for getting into Hard Places that a regular Socket or Open End Wrench could never get to.. It is in effect the third hand in many spots especially when working around an engine.

Great Complimentary Tool
Would RecommendTool manufacturers make variations of this, with some being reversible/ratcheting. Sometimes simple is good. Add an adapter to step up from 1/4" to 3/8" and you have a great addition to your Toolbox or Bag. Especially in those places that can compliment your Ratchet.

Good Quality, but OK Value
Would RecommendNeeded to pick-up this set of 3/8's extensions, but should have purchased the complete set during the Holidays which include 1/4" along with 1/2". A much better value if you need all the sizes, and variety. They make another variety set which includes all three sizes of "universal joints" which again is a better value if you need most or all of them. I rated this "4 Stars" solely because of the cost-value.
