Would Not RecommendI bought this weedeater last summer. I have always used Craftsman, tools and all my lawn equipment. It started easily and I was satisfied with the purchase. Then three weeks ago I couldn't get it to start. I have tried each time I mow to no prevail. I tried new gas, new spark plug, tried cleaning the carburetor. It has been frustrating since I have no backup weedeater. I am disappointed because this weedeater is not even a year old. I don't want to switch to another brand, but I may not be given...

Throws properly installed string
Would Not RecommendHave had this a little less than a year. Worked fine after one string replacement, but now I can't get the bump release to work correctly, it just throws all the string out, or doesn't do anything at all. Have gone through 7 or 8 different attempts to replace with no luck. Product is useless without the string.

Pull start has failed to retract 4 times
Would Not RecommendCraftsman deleted my last review of this trimmer. Unless you are still in warranty, don't bother contacting them if the pull start recoil assembly breaks. They will not support it even though it is an obvious design flaw. I guarantee if you buy this, the pull start recoil WILL break. I should have returned mine the first time it broke which was less than a week after buying it. Buyer beware. You have been warned.

Would Not RecommendThe pull start retraction stops working frequently. Have to take it apart (no easy feat because it is not made to be worked on). When it works, it works great. Starts easy, does it's job. I have had to repair the pull start four times and am having to do it a fifth as I write this.

Would Not RecommendI have bought 2 of the craftsman weed eaters. My newest model being the wc 2200. I have used it twice this year and the pull cord has already broken. It has been an absolute nightmare dealing with craftsman weed eaters.
