What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these outdoor shades for exceptional sun-blocking performance and heat reduction, with most noting they keep patios significantly cooler while maintaining an airy, open feel. Installation is consistently highlighted as simple and quick, typically completed alone in under an hour. The durable, well-made material resists wear over years of use, and many customers repurchase additional units. Privacy benefits are frequently mentioned without creating a closed-in atmosphere. A small number report isolated hardware issues or sizing limitations, but these represent minimal feedback compared to widespread satisfaction.

Looks a lot better than one it replaced. Will take better care of this one: rolling up when rain coming;, secure for breeze protection (which is what ruined previous shade). Seems to be doing its job reducing heat, but still lets breeze thru. Do recommend 2 people for installation, especially for measurement accuracy - difficult to measure 6+' in a vertical position by 1 person.

Confusing product model offering
Fortunately your store salesperson had some product ct knowledge. That said, I bought 2 different widths in the same color fabric and ended up with two different style tie-downs. Who ever selects models and styles from manufacturers needs to do a better job to simplify selection and offering.

Works
Would RecommendThe length sucked for my gazebo even after measuring. You can see through it so no privacy. But it does block the sun and we use it alot. So, not the best experience but it works...Also, blocks wind so if its hot out you get hotter lol

Poor Quality Construction of Shade itself
We have had Coolaroo shades in multiple houses and never had an issue. Until now. We ordered an 8x6 outdoor roller shade and the edge of one side was coming apart from the time we took it out of the packaging. Additionally, the shade doesn't roll up evenly so it looks wonky every time we roll it up. Disappointing. While the shade works and looks ok for now, I am watching the frayed side like a hawk and anticipate having to order a new one before end of summer.
