Finally got rid of black algae

I had been fighting black algae for years. The local pool supplier sold a bottle of some chemical for almost $40.00 that didn't help at all. This spring I tried Clorox Pool&Spa XtraBlue 40 oz. Algae Prevention And Algaecide and the algae just disappeared. The bottle cost less and lasted for two months. I continued to use it all summer and the algae never came back.

I would rate this product in negative numbers if available! My pool had a green tint to the water so I purchased the Xtra Blue Algaecide because my product that I normally use was out of stock. The green tint almost immediately became dark green and soupy thick, which the recommended 24 hours running the pump did nothing to help it! I treated 2 more times, ran the pump and waited the 24 hours each time, and it only gets worse. This product costs too much and now will cost even more to get my ...

Clean pool all summer

In late spring I left for a few day. When I came back, my pool was green. I started using this product and my pool has been crystal clear all summer. I wil and have recommended this product.

Have used this product before. The name is exactly what it does.

Non Foaming?

It’s stated on the bottle that this product is “non foaming”. When the pump is running, it looks like I put a little soap in the water.

Works great

I use 1 bottle of this every Friday night and it keeps my pool clean, clear and comfortable all week long.

GREAT PRODUCT

As long as you follow the directions, it works. I was having a hard time getting my pool back to normal because of many days of continuous rain. I bottle made my pool go back to crystal clear water.

Keeps the algae under control

Keeps the algae under control, I have used this product for a few years now, it works great. Lowes seems to have the best price for this item.

Did not work

Tried for the first time and it did nothing. Pool never got Blue. I have always had good success with the Green Algae Eliminator which is 1/2 the price. Wasted $30 and then had to go buy the $15 Eliminator that actually works.

Extremely Happy Pool Owner

After using this product for a few months now - I can't tell you how wonderful it is. I have a small pool which is harder to maintain in the hot and wet Florida climate. I do brush after a rain and add the product. Otherwise, I add it weekly and I have had no algae. I'm sold. Love this...

This product worked great!

Had alot of algae build up along the walls of my pebble tech pool, and in only one application, this algecide got rid of it all! Highly recommended!
