Good fence

The fence was fine. It didn't exactly match but it worked. What really upset me is the brackets needed to mount the fence are not stocked in the store nor can they be ordered from Lowe's.

Frustrating, but the finished product is nice

It's sturdy, well made, and looks nice. When installed it functions perfectly. Installation is a pain though, and the gate is the most expensive part of the fence project. The directions don't mention the spacing, so I measured about 8 times and dry fit it about 6 times because once both posts are set in concrete there's no going back. I had a 46.5 inch walkway to traverse. The directions state that there is a half inch allowance for the hinges. That is not adjustable, there are a couple ridges ...

Perfect gate solution

I found the New Haven picket Fence gate kit to be the perfect solution for the New Haven aluminum picket fence panel. It was fairly easy to cut one of the fence panels in half and use the gate kit to make an operating gate. It came with all of the hardware needed to do the job and it went together quickly. I would highly recommend using this instead of buying a premade gate at double the price.

Lowe’s Installation & Freedom Fence Disaster

Update (1/10/26): On 11/03/25, the installer Robbie’s home repair returned to address several concerns. While the work appeared corrected at the time, I discovered on 01/10/26 that some of the same issues have returned. Both side gates built from the Freedom Fence/Freedom Outdoor Living gate kit are sagging again and drop as soon as the latch is opened. The right side gate drops to the ground when opened. At least 2 of the panels are bent and need replaced. Also one fence panel was back ordered. Please bring replacements.

Damage in box

Order the fence, which was the part of my pool project went to store to pick up up as soon as I saw the box it looked damaged. I opened the box in front of customer service and they saw that the door fence was completely bend I waited around two weeks for this . It should have been packed better to prevent it from getting damaged. Now I still need the door because I made the opening for the 6th foot door so do I order again? Is it gonna come damage again?

Thin gauge metal

Product was flimsy and folded left or right to 1 foot high 9 foot long package . It was not rigid. Therefore it would not stand alone without solid posts on either end. Not as advertised. Disappointing. Delivery was on time as promised

Look very nice when installed, I am happy with the look. However they are not a heavy quality fence. They bend very easy. In my project I purchased 42 sections, 3 plus cartons. 3 sections were bent in the open carton, 3 bent in one sealed carton and 4 bent in the other sealed carton. That is 10% damaged. Time wasted bringing them home, returning damaged sections and bringing new sections home. The gates were much better quality. Make sure to use the gate posts for the gate do not use the end pos...
